Physics Computer Services On-Line Help

WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO:
Physics Computer Services is a small team of engineers whose main focus is providing and maintaining the servers and services associated with the physics.harvard.edu domain including e-mail, web and file services. We provide e-mail and file services for all who hold a valid Physics account.

We also provide basic workstation installation and sign-on services for the Physics adminstrative staff as well as 1st and 2nd year graduates students. General computing for faculty and others is still provided by FAS, UIS and dedicated grad/undergrad students. Our sphere of support includes, but is not limited to, users in Jefferson Lab and many Lyman Lab.

While Physics Computer Services does duplicate some services provided by the university, its mission is not to replace FAS/UIS, but to enhance services that increase the efficiency and running of the department as well as providing for its unique needs.
