Lukin, Markus Greiner Half course (fall term). M., W., 11:30–1. EXAM GROUP: 4, 5 Introduction to quantum optics and modern atomic physics. The basic concepts and theoretical tools will be introduced. Topics will include coherence phenomena, non-classical states of light and matter, atom cooling and trapping and atom optics. The second of a two-term subject sequence that provides the foundations for contemporary research.
